Sicily 2013: Around on the Etna

Martedì finalmente sono salita sull' Etna.
Siamo partiti da un' altezza di 1800 mt, fino ad arrivare a circa 2700 mt (l' Etna è alto 3343mt). La salita è stata abbastanza faticosa a causa del fortissimo vento che soffiava ininterrottamente e che, durante il percorso, diventava sempre più gelido.
Però ne è completamente valsa la pena: il panorama era sensazionale.
Stare su quel vulcano e vedere intorno a noi le montagne e il mare era bellissimo, per di più il paesaggio era davvero molto suggestivo: in alcuni punti non sembrava nemmeno di stare sulla terra, ma sulla luna!


Tuesday I finally climb on Etna.
We started from an elevation of 1800 meters, until reaching about 2700 m (Etna is high 3343mt). The climb was quite difficult because of the strong wind that blew uninterrupted and, along the way, growing colder and colder.
But it is completely worth the effort: the scenery was stunning.
Stand on that volcano and see around us the mountains and the sea was beautiful, moreover the landscape was very suggestive: in some places did not look like to be on the ground, but on the moon!

Sfortunatamente le foto del mio outfit non sono venute molto bene (e quindi ce ne sono poche), ma vi assicuro che era molto difficoltoso mettersi in posa: in alcuni momenti il vento riusciva addirittura a spostarmi!


Unfortunately my outfits' photos didn't come very well (so they are not so much), but I assure you that it was very difficult to pose: at some times the wind was able to move me!

Purtroppo non siamo riusciti ad arrivare al cratere principale a causa del troppo vento che trasportava il fumo del vulcano e le nuvole sul nostro itinerario, non permettendoci più di proseguire a piedi a causa della scarsa visibilità.
Comunque anche gli altri crateri secondari erano stupendi!
Soprattutto i crateri formatesi dall' eruzione del 10 ottobre 2002 sono un qualcosa di meraviglioso!


Unfortunately we were unable to reach the main crater because of too much wind that brought the smoke of the volcano and clouds on our itinerary, so it didn't allow us to keep on 'cause of lack of visibility.
However, the other secondary craters were gorgeous!
Especially the craters formed by the eruption of 10 October 2002 are something of wonderful!
